Our colleague Mikel Larreategi, the new ambassador of Donostia - San Sebastián

On February 12th, our colleague Mikel Larreategi was appointed ambassador of Donostia - San Sebastián at a special event held at the Kursaal. This program, promoted by Donostia San Sebastián Turismo (Convention Bureau) and Kursaal Elkargunea, recognized the work of 27 professionals who position the city as an international benchmark
The reason behind the nomination
Thanks to the hard work of CodeSyntax and Mikel, they succeeded in bringing the Plone Conference 2023 to Gipuzkoa. This event brought worldwide experts in open-source software to our region, thereby reinforcing the city's technological and strategic pillars.
The PLONECONF 2023 International Conference was highly successful. A total of 220 attendees from 26 different countries (USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, India, England, Germany, Romania, France, Italy...) took part in the training, talks, and development Sprint sessions. Moreover, an additional 560 people (bringing the total to almost 800) watched some of the sessions via streaming. More information here.
